Man of the match:
from Redmond Colts | | Other notables
• Redmond Colts lost Harold and Phani early and stabilized through Simon and Bala.
• Later solid batting from Mehul and Mrinal saw Redmond looking well set for a target of 200+. But, with both Mehul and Mrinal falling in quick succession Colts were in trouble at 149/9
• The tailenders batted very positively. Mahesh 20(26) and Harish 17(17) to post 183/10 and use up valuable time with rain threatening.
• Patriots attempt to get a flying start to beat the threatening weather backfired when they lost both openers Shazad and Rehman cheaply.
• Hassan and hard hitting Jawad rebuilt the innings and they cruised past 150 in 23 overs with both scoring freely.
• Heavy rain set in and with both set batters gone the accurate bowling by Redmond made life difficult for the Seattle batters in pouring rain.
• With 9 runs needed play was halted due to the conditions which worsened fast. With relentless rain no further play was possible - Seattle Patriots won on faster run rate. |

Batting highlights:
Sandeep Parab (MoM) 85 (46)
Bowling highlights:
| |
Man of the match:
Sandeep Parab from Microsoft Reds | | Other notables
• Reds helped King County openers to a good start through couple of dropped catches. Arif Butt after hitting a couple of fours, went for one too many and was castled by Vijay.
• Ansar and Rama (debutant) put up a patient partnership, before Ansar was cleaned up by Rajiv. Adnan played a measured aggressive innings to score a quick 23, while couple of wickets fell around him.
• Excellent bowling by Puneet and Munshi helped setup Sanjay’s first over in which he got Adnan to sky an easy one to Mid-off. After this a procession of King County wickets followed and they were reduced from a healthy 84-4 to 113 a.o. Sanjay was the pick of the bowlers cleaning up one King County batsmen after the other.
• After a quick break… with a small crowd of curious onlookers on the sidelines, Sandeep decided to put up a show for them.
• Over #1, Adnan to Sandeep read 0, 4, 4, 0, 4, 0. 12 runs to start the game. After a couple of singles, Rutwick stepped out and hit a 4 over cover. He tried the same of Omair and was caught at covers.
• On the other end a nonchalant Sandeep proceeded to hammer the King County bowlers. It didn’t matter who was bowling, 14 – 16 runs were flowing every over. The team 50 was reached in 4.2 overs, with Sandeep on 43 of 13 balls.
• Two overs in the middle seem to calm things a little. Meanwhile Sandeep helped himself to a 50 of 22 balls. The 50 run partnership came quickly and Avinash fell to Adnan LBW, when the score was 72 of 7 overs
• In came Vijay and was trying to get his eye in, hence slowing things down… but Sandeep didn’t want a part of it. There was still 50 runs to get and the only way he knew was dispatching the bowlers to the boundary. There was no letting down as he helped himself merrily to 4’s and 6’s. Sandeep made a well made 85 of 46 balls, hitting 9 fours and 6 sixes.
• Adnan finished the innings giving 52 runs from his 6 overs and Omair went for 38 from his 3. Nikhil was the only economical bowler returning 15 from 4 overs
• Reds finished their innings under 56 mins in 13.4 overs. Sandeep was judged Man of the Match for his incredible knock |

Batting highlights:
Ketan Patel 23*(28) | |
Bowling highlights:
| |
Man of the match:
Viraj Desai (jMoM) and Sageer Anjum Nakhawa (jMoM) from Lake Washington Eagles from American Recreation-A | | Other notables
• American Recreation-A chose to bat and the ploy failed immediately as skipper GP was caught in point of the first ball of the game.
• Anantha and Raja received beautiful shaping away swingers from Anjum. Both squared up and cleaned up.
• Before opening attack slows down, score read 25/6 in 8 overs and pretty much sealed the fate of the game
• Anand Vaidyanathan however continued to play solid and also encouraged partnerships from lower end batsmen, putting on 33 and 21 run partnerships for 7th and 9th wicket.
• Anand took full advantage of couple of chances, over all played a very sensible and solid knock of 57* in 77 balls. He played some classic cover drives and waited for bowler’s mistakes and cashed almost all of those.
• American Recreation – A got all out [a player short] for 90 runs.
• Chasing 91 was going to be easy on a day wicket played well and outfield played fine as well.
• Eagles scored runs with relative ease for the loss of 3 wickets in 22.2 overs.
• Skipper Ketan Patel played well to get his 23 runs in 28 balls. |
