• Arun meanwhile was tearing into the King County bowlers and it was raining boundaries. After a beautifully constructed 75 Arun was bowled by Javed Mahtab while hitting across and getting an inner edge.
• Kameshwar was run out on the very next ball because he suddenly thought he was Usain Bolt and bolted for a non existent single.
• Captain and the Vice captain then played some good cricket. They maintained the run rate of above 8/over.
• Faizan convinced himself that Ivan was LBW when he tried a switch hit – only problem was it was a free hit
• Naveen was caught and bowled by Adnan Sheikh while accelerating the run rate.
• When Aniruddha went in for bat, instead of bringing shower of runs on the field, he brought heavy rains.
• After umpire called it a “wash out” game both teams went to Shalimar café and did a deep dive into Faizan’s appealJ while devouring delicious poori’s.

Boeing registers an emphatic win against Whatcom
Saturday, June 20, 2009
Match# 09-40-T-1530PM: Hypersonics won by 68 runs
Boeing Cricket Field
Toss won by Hypersonics and elected to bat
Hypersonics: 150 for 9 in 20 overs
Batting highlights: Ali Akhter 59 (38), Ali Khan 27 (22)
Bowling highlights: N/A
Whatcom Wildcats: 82 for 10 in 20 overs
Batting highlights: N/A
Bowling highlights: Nelson Jeyarajah 3/25, Harpreet Bal 2/17
Man of the match: Ali Akhter from Hypersonics
Other notables
• Boeing Hypersonics won the toss and elected to bat. Ali Akhter and Maitrik Patel gave a brisk start to Hypersonics’ inning.
• Boeing was scoring at run-a-ball until their first setback when Maitrik Patel was caught at short midwicket.
• A couple of quick wickets followed but Boeing were still sitting pretty at the halfway stage – with 7 wickets in hand, the score read 70 after 10 overs and the dangerous Ali Akhter still at the crease.
• Both Ali’s – Akhter and Khan – were in a punishing mood in the middle overs of the inning. With a flurry of fours and sixes hit by both batsmen, Whatcom clearly looked worried.
• With overs running out and plenty of wickets in hand, Boeing continued the onslaught until the very last ball. Nelson Jeyarajah smacked a couple of fours to boost the scoring rate.
• In the end, Boeing managed a well composed and an extremely competitive score of 150 in the allocated 20 overs.
• If the Boeing batsman were in full flow, the bowlers were equal to the task. All four pacers - Sukhwant Sohi, Ali Akhter, Harpreet Bal, and Nelson Jeyarajah – bowled excellent line and length with full pace.
• The Whatcom batsmen clearly looked out of sorts and were simply overmatched by the Boeing pacers. The fielders backed up the bowlers with some good catching.
• All in all, it was an all-round, clinical performance by Boeing. The Boeing Hypersonics won by 68 runs in the end, but the final score does not do justice to the complete blowout win by Boeing.
• There was only one obvious man-of-the-match choice: Ali Akhter.
